Family Planning

Before deciding to have sex, it is very important to consider the options for protection against unwanted pregnancy. Family planning, or contraception, is a subject many young people find difficult to discuss with their doctor, parents or friends. This is one reason for the increase in unplanned pregnancies among young girls.

Contraception is easily available from specialist clinics, where trained staff will give help and advice, and answer questions sympathetically and in confidence. They can explain the different methods available, advise on the most suitable for your own circumstances, and listen to your worries and concerns. No-one will pass judgment - seeking advice in the right way proves that you have a responsible approach to family planning.
