Mentoring

What is mentoring?

A mentor is someone who will take the time to get to know you by meeting you regularly.

They will give you advice and encouragement, and help you sort out the best way to deal with any problems that you may have.

Why should I get involved?

Every young person has different goals in life and your mentor will help you work out how you can achieve yours. They will not only be someone who you can get to know and trust but will also be someone who you can be yourself with.

You will receive individual attention from your mentor and, if you're open and honest with them, it could change your life.

If you want to find out more or think you would like to be involved in a mentoring scheme, visit the Cumbria Mentor Point website.
