Key skills are skills that the government and employers feel are the essential skills all young people should have.

The key skills are:

Communication

Information technology

Application of number Working with others

Improving own learning and performance

Problem solving

These skills are likely to be included in all 6th Forms and Further Education and Training. This means that when you complete your course of study or training you will also have gained additional qualifications, which will help you in the future.
