Year 9 Open Day - Kendal Connexions Centre - Saturday 23rd January

Connexions Cumbria is a support service for young people aged 13 – 19 years and we would like to invite you to our Open Day on

Saturday 23rd January 2010 between 11.00 am and 2.00 pm

 You are welcome to drop-in during this time, when there will be displays, information and staff available to provide advice and guidance on:

·         Career Choices including GCSE Options, Diplomas*, 6th Form, College, Employment and Apprenticeships.

·         Personal Development issues including Relationships, Free Time, Health, Money and Housing.

 *Diplomas are new qualifications and in South Lakeland, there are 8 subject areas available as part of the option process. The enclosed booklet has more information about these and there will be the opportunity to find out more during options talks and parents evenings in school or through your Connexions Personal Adviser.

We also offer a wide range of careers information and advice for adults aged 20 and over, as part of our ‘nextstep’ service, which might be of interest to you.

The Connexions Centre is at 124 Highgate, Kendal. The nearest public car parks are at Kendal Parish Church, Peppercorn Car Park (parking for Abbot Hall), behind Iceland supermarket, or the Brewery Car Park.
