Furness Diploma Information Evening

The Diploma: an Information Event for Students and their Families

26th January 2009, 6.00 – 7.30 pm, at Barrow Sixth Form College 

The 14-19 Diploma is an exciting new qualification and one of the main options for young people, alongside Apprenticeships, GCSEs and ‘A’ Levels.  Working in partnership, schools and colleges in the Furness area will be offering the Diploma in eight different lines of learning from September 2009.

To help you find out more about the courses on offer an evening to be hosted by the Furness 14 - 19 partnership at Barrow Sixth Form College on 26th January, 6.00 – 7.30 pm.  The evening will explain how Diplomas work, how they differ from other qualifications, and what employers and universities think about them.  There will also be the chance to meet tutors for each course, ask questions and speak with current Diploma students.  Connexions Personal Advisers will be present at the event to provide impartial advice.  A short presentation will be repeated at 6.00 pm and 7.00 pm.
