There is a lot of debate around the issue of drugs, whether they are harmful, addictive or whether some illegal ones should be legalised. There is also a debate on what exactly a drug is; are tobacco products and alcohol included, what about tea and coffee? There are laws about certain substances that may be classed as drugs.

Did you know?

It is illegal to give alcohol to any child under the age of 5 years.
Shopkeepers can be prosecuted for serving tobacco products to anyone under the age of 18.
It is an offence to be caught in possession of an illegal drug.
