In the future, Connexions Cumbria will be known as Inspira, reflecting our broader purpose, which is to Inspire people, organisations and communities to be successful.

Connexions Cumbria is well known in the region and we are extremely proud of our strong local reputation. So within Cumbria, we will continue to use the Connexions name in relation to specific, well-known services for young people.

Phoning for Jobs

When you telephone about a job vacancy have the advert beside you so that you know

The number to ring including any extension number.

The name of the person you need to speak to, or the department (probably Personnel or Human Resources).

The title of the job you are interested in.

It is important that you…

Speak clearly.

Have plenty of coins if ringing from a call box or credit from a mobile so that you do not get cut off before you have finished your call.

Have a pen and paper at hand so that you can write down any details, such as the time, place and the name of the person you need to see if you are offered an interview.
