In the future, Connexions Cumbria will be known as Inspira, reflecting our broader purpose, which is to Inspire people, organisations and communities to be successful.

Connexions Cumbria is well known in the region and we are extremely proud of our strong local reputation. So within Cumbria, we will continue to use the Connexions name in relation to specific, well-known services for young people.

Interviews

It is natural to feel nervous about the prospect of an interview but the employer obviously thinks you are suitable otherwise they would not be interviewing you! If you feel confident about yourself and your capabilities this will come across in an interview.

An interview is a two way process - it gives the employer a chance to find out more about you and how you match up to your application plus it gives you a chance to find out if the job and the employer live up to your expectations.

It is important to prepare for an interview, not just turn up! This will make you confident and shows the interviewer that you are motivated and serious about wanting to work for them.

Further Information

Contact us for the Careers Information Leaflet about the different format interviews can take and how to prepare yourself.

There is a wide range of resources available on applying for jobs. Your local Connexions Centre, school, college or public library will have some useful books, videos or CD ROMs, which you can refer to.
