Employment

If you choose to go straight into employment when you leave school this does not mean you have to give up further education completely. There are full-time and part-time opportunities for further study available to you, for example:

  • Foundation Modern Apprenticeships
  • Advanced Modern Apprenticeships
  • NVQ (National Vocational) Awards

All employees aged 16 and 17 are entitled to paid time off to study or train for approved qualifications, providing you do not already have qualifications beyond NVQ2. See Time for Study for more information.
