Whatever you think of teachers, you must agree that they have a tough job - not least because they have to teach, cope with and inspire…you!

In each classroom, and for each subject, the teachers will be very different. The teachers will tell you what they expect of you in terms of behaviour, attitude, classwork and homework. Listen carefully and if you don't understand something, ask!

If you feel that you have a problem with a teacher you should talk to your form tutor or a teacher who has responsibility for your year. Your form teacher will register you during the day and you will see them more often than any other teacher. They are a good person to go to if you have a problem.

If you are having problems at school or with a particular lesson do try to talk to someone about it, sometimes you don't feel like being at school. Teachers will listen to your concerns and try to help. If you don't want to be at school because of a problem, tell your form tutor or favourite teacher.
