School

Research has shown that the relationships and friendships you make at school set the mould for your friendships in later life. Sometimes at school, especially when starting a new year or new school, everyone seems more confident than you, but don't worry…they are probably just as nervous as you are!

Your group of friends might change in the early years of being at a secondary school. This is perfectly normal because there are lots of new people who you don't know very much about and it takes time to find out who you are most compatible with.

To meet new people with similar interests why not check out after-school activities and clubs… from playing football or netball to science fiction reading or car mechanics/IT, this can be a great way to develop new relationships in school.
