School Leaving Date

If you're in Year 11, the law now requires that you remain at school until after your GCSE exams - these take place in May and June.

The official school leaving date for all Year 11 pupils is the last Friday in June. This date applies to you irrespective of the date on which you reach your 16th birthday. You cannot leave school at Easter any longer and are not allowed to start full-time work or training prior to this date.
